{UVic Poverty Law Club} International Justice Mission Speaker session

The CLSA presents "This is Why You Always Wanted to be a Lawyer"

What: International Justice Mission (IJM) is a faith-based non-profit
organization that seeks to remedy international exploitation of the poor
and oppressed. Started by a US Prosecutor and based in Washington, D.C.,
IJM operates field offices in developing nations, and works both through
local court systems and more unconventional avenues. Mark Wollenberg will
be speaking about their work, which has been featured by various media
outlets, including on W-FIVE, in The New Yorker, and The Wall Street
Journal. The event is sponsored by the Christian Law Students'
Association.
